Materials

Niles is capable of working with a variety of different materials. Some of these materials include Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Carbon Steel, and more. Here are examples of the most popular materials we use.

Copper

Experf perforated metals are available in copper material, which is ideal for all types of structures. It is a soft, malleable, and ductile material that is well suited for indoor and outdoor applications. Although copper develops a natural patina from oxidation, the material is environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable.

Cupro- Nickel

Cupro-Nickel helps micromesh products to remain intact due to its outstanding formability. The combination of iron and manganese give it increased strengthening potential. Micromesh products in cupro-nickel resist corrosion from seawater and other related environments.

Titanium

Titanium is an expanded metal material with low density and the highest strength to weight ratio of any metallic element. It also has the highest corrosion resistance in seawater and chlorine. It may be alloyed with other elements to produce a strong, lightweight material. Titanium is nonmagnetic with low thermal and electrical properties.

Nickel

Nickel has excellent formability and high ductility for perforated metals. Additionally, it has thermal and electric conductivity. Its long-life span makes it corrosion resistant and allows for consistent flow of liquids, gases, light, and heat.

Weathering steel

Weathering steel is excellent for perforated metals because it does not require a paint coating. The stable rust-like appearance allows perforated metals to last longer in various weather conditions. It is also effectively resistant against corrosive effects of rain, snow, ice and fog.

Experf® meshes are interchangeable with perforated equivalents in multiple applications and offer comparable strength, open area, acoustic and filtration properties. Experf® mesh can be produced from Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Carbon and most any ductile material. Product quality is assured to ISO 9001 standards.

Experf® mesh is available in a growing number of 2D and 3D patterns and can also be custom-made to meet your specifications. We produce one-piece mesh in both sheet and coil providing a highly versatile product for shaping, cutting, and cylindrical or tube forming. Strands and bonds of the mesh shapes add strength and rigidity and allow for passage of light, air, water, and sound. Our popular items are in stock and available for immediate JIT delivery.

Finishing

The wide variety of finishing options available in our Experf® product line provides our customers with solutions to best meet their needs. Experf® products are available in multiple metal types including brass, bronze, copper, nickel, titanium, zinc, galvanized, precious metals and most ferrous or non-ferrous material. Experf® designs have hole diameters ranging from .110”-.475” while the open areas range from 36% to 70%. This multi-purpose product is available in both flat and the standard (raised) forms. Experf® meshes can be finished in HDG, Paint, Powder Coating and more.
