Ex-Perforated Copper Production Process
At Niles, our Ex-Perforated copper products are produced from a slit and stretch process in sheet and coil with round, diamond, square and hexagonal shapes and openings. Ex-Perforated copper is ideal for all structures and indoor and outdoor applications. Copper is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. It is environmentally safe and also recyclable.
Benefits of Ex-Perforated Copper
With Ex-Perforated copper, the manufacturing process is waste free with no leftover material, which reduces overall costs. The process adds rigidity to the original material characteristics. Ex-Perforated copper is easily fabricated and formable as a malleable and ductile metal mesh. Our perforated copper also comes in either a 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional appearance with up to four different views. Features such as control, light, sound, air, liquids, EMI and RFI shielding and access may be designed into the copper mesh.
Applications and Uses for Ex-Perforated Copper
Ex-Perforated copper is useful in many different industries, and our ExPerf metal designs are ideal for meeting unique applications. We manufacture micromesh in either aluminum or copper, which is used for both lightning strike protection and EMI/RFI shielding. This includes faraday cages, electronics, aerospace, composite structures, wind energy and more. Other perforated copper mesh applications include floor heating, ceiling tiles, infrastructure, food services, batteries, glass and other decorations, and architectural screens and enclosures.
