CAPABILITIES

At Niles, we currently have 125,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space under renovation. To best serve our customers, our manufacturing facilities will feature thirteen expand work centers, two flattening work centers, five shears, eight leveling work centers, and two cut-to-length lines. We are proud to be ISO 9001-2008 and AS9100 Quality Certified. We manufacture the most complete line of expanded materials in both coil and sheet manufacturing from foils through 0.315” plate. We offer a comprehensive stock inventory of aluminum, carbon steel and stainless steel 304 & 316. A full selection of finishing options including painting, powder coating, E-coating, and hot dip galvanizing allow us to meet a variety of customer needs.

Our equipment produces mesh sheets from the most complete selection of ductile material including aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cupro-nickel, weathering steel, nickel alloys, plastics, polymers, stainless steels, zinc and more in your choice of patterns including diamond, hexagonal, round, square, and decorative patterns.

Materials

Niles is capable of working with a variety of different materials. Some of these materials include Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Carbon Steel, and more. Here are examples of the most popular materials we use.

Expanded metal products are offered in copper, which is a soft, malleable, and ductile material. It contains high thermal and electrical properties that may be used for architectural or building purposes. Copper develops a natural patina from oxidation but the material is 100% recyclable.

Cupro-Nickel is an alternative expanded metal that maintains excellent formability. As an alloy of copper, it contains nickel along with iron and manganese for increased strengthening. It is silver in color and also highly resistant to corrosion from seawater and other related environments.

Titanium has low density and the highest strength to weight ratio of any metallic element. It also has the highest corrosion resistance in seawater and chlorine. It may be alloyed with other elements to produce a strong, lightweight material. Titanium is nonmagnetic with low thermal and electrical properties.

Nickel is a material with excellent formability and high ductility. It is considered corrosion resistant because it slowly oxidizes at room temperature. Additionally, it has magnetic characteristics and has good thermal and electrical properties.

Owned by United States Steel and trademarked as COR-TENⓇ, weathering steel removes the need for painting because of its natural yet unique oxidized look. Architectural projects benefit from this material due to its stable rust-like appearance when exposed to the weather. It is effectively resistant against corrosive effects of rain, snow, ice and fog.
